The workshop of Daniel Malchert is a certified service centre for Omega, Longines, Tissot, Rado, Mido, Hamilton, Certina, NOMOS Glashütte and Mühle-Glashütte but is also equipped to service watches from other brands.
It is important that you watch is serviced by a qualified specialist. Certified workshops use only genuine parts and manufacturer-ratified methods when servicing your watch. This preserves the value of your timepiece, and means all movement work comes with a 24-month guarantee. Malchert’s workshop is equipped with modern equipment and special tools so that a comprehensive service can be carried out on site.

Workshop services

Major service

A mechanical watch should be completely cleaned every four to six years.

A major service includes:

Complete disassembly of the watch.
Ultrasonic cleaning of all movement parts in specially-developed cleaning solutions.
Inspection of the individual parts for wear and tear, and, if necessary, reworking or replacement.
Reassembly of the movement and the application of fresh oil at high-friction points.
Timekeeping adjustment in four to six positions.
Case polishing and cleaning.
Long-term timekeeping test on a watch winder.

Minor Service

If your watch is not yet four years old, then a minor service may be sufficient.

That means:

Your watch is tested for function.
The escapement components are re-oiled.
The watch is readjusted and subjected to the long-term test on the watch winder.
In addition to these movement checks, the case and the metal band are cleaned.
